About Karsog Valley

A pristine Himalayan paradise in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh

The Hidden Gem of Himachal

Nestled in the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas, Karsog Valley is located in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh at an average elevation of 1,400 to 1,800 meters. Known for its terraced apple orchards, dense pine and deodar forests, and untouched natural beauty, it is a haven for nature lovers and spiritual seekers alike.

According to local legends, Karsog has a deep connection with the Mahabharata. It is believed that the Pandavas spent a significant part of their exile in this valley. The name "Karsog" is said to be derived from the words "Kar" (mourning) and "Shok" (sorrow), pointing to a mythical past where the villagers were troubled by a demon, who was eventually slain by Bhima.
